Place the Chummie bedwetting alarm unit on the bedside or someplace convenient where your child can hear the alarm and reach it to turn it off. Secure the IntelliFlex mat on the bed by placing 4 pins in the 4 corners. Place the bed sheet directly over the mat. Ensure that your child does not come in contact with the mat. The mat is very sensitive and sweat from the body can trigger the Chummie alarm.

Gently clean the IntelliFlex mat with a damp cotton cloth, then immediately pat dry with a towel or cloth – DO NOT USE SOAP OR LIQUID DETERGENT. DO NOT WASH THE PLUG (the end that goes into the alarm unit)
Some children sweat more than other children. This may cause the IntelliFlex mat to go off at night. To minimize false alarms, follow the step below.
• If Place the IntelliFlex mat in a pillowcase and secure the mat on the bed by placing 4 pins in the 4 corners .
• Place a bed sheet directly over the mat enclosed in the pillowcase.
• To start monitoring for bedwetting events, insert the mat plug into the Chummie alarm. The alarm unit will beep twice signaling a successful connection has been established.

For daytime storage, disconnect the IntelliFlex mat from the Chummie bedwetting alarm unit. The alarm unit beeps once and enters standby (power save) mode.
The Chummie Alarm and IntelliFlex mat are very sensitive and sweat from the body can trigger the alarm. Make sure that that skin does not come in contact with the mat. It is always recommended to first place the mat in a pillow case and then put it under a bedsheet.
Wipe the IntellIFlex mat with a damp cloth and then clean dry. Do NOT place under water or submerge in water.
It’s a good idea to use waterproof overlays. These will protect the mattress from urine stains. However, the mat should always be placed on top of the waterproof bedding. Never place the mat below the waterproof bedding or else the alarm will not detect any urine
For hygienic purposes, it is always recommended that you use a new mat for each mat child to be treated. The mat comes in contact with urine so it is advisable to use a separate mat for each child. Additional mats can be purchased here.

The product worked well. It was very sensitive when we started using it. I contacted the company and they suggested that I place 2 sheets between my daughter and the mat. That worked. The cord is long and I am able to place it by my daughter’s bedroom door that way I can hear it in my room. A good experience overall. She has gone from bedwetting 5 times a week to about 2 times a week in a month. I am seeing improvement and will expect good results before new year.

Have you had any success? My son is 12 and sleeps like a log and doesn’t wake up when he needs to pee. We have tried medication. Tried the pee alarm that clips on him when he was small pad. Nothing seems to help.

My son has had success, not 100%, but partial success. He has been using the alarm for a little over a month. The three weeks, he just wouldn’t wake up to the alarm cause he’s such a deep sleeper. The alarm itself is very loud and him not waking up was surprising. I called the company and they recommended waking him up when I heard the alarm. So, I started doing just that. Would wake up 1-2 times a night for about 3 weeks and then one night, he just woke up on his own. The last 2 weeks have been a combination of wither him waking up or me having to wake him up. His wetting has gone down from about 5-6 times a week to 2-3 times a week. The rest of the nights, he is able to sleep dry. So overall, there is progress and some success, but hes not not there all the way. I think another month to two months should do the job.

My son is autistic and battles bed wetting. He’s 12 and its so bad he sleeps on a air mattress so I can house it down but with this product he can sleep in a regular bed. I live that it slams him when he had just started so he can quickly get up an go to the bathroom. Great invention for the young and old alike.

I simply love it. My son is starting to get up at night as soon as he hears the alarm go off. There’s been a night that he gets up before he wets the bed. It really works, but of course you need to be patient. I highly recommend it.

My son is 11 and will not wear a sensor alarm. He did not want a clip and wire hanging on his underwear at night. That is when I got the Chummie pro system as the only possible alternative to what’s out there. The system comprises of an alarm box that you place on the bed-side table and a mat which you place below a bedsheet. The system gave false alarms at first. Then realized that he just moved too much at night. Contacted the company and they promptly assisted. I first placed the mat in a pillow case and the placed that below a bedsheet. Below the mat, I placed good night bedmats which did the trick. He woke up within days of the system being used. Within 6 weeks, we have seen significant progress. Granted we are not there all the way, but with 6 weeks gone, his wetting has reduced by over 70%. In fact he had his first 3 straight nights last night. This prompted me to write the review. I am one happy parent of a proud son.
